Use the Careerwise work placement scheme to connect with Scotland’s female engineering talent pool.

The Careerwise work placement scheme offered by Equate Scotland can help businesses to:

  • Identify talented women who are studying towards a qualification, and have the potential to become future employees
  • Improve your profile with female students and universities
  • Widen your talent pool and increase workforce diversity
  • Help to develop Scotland’s young workforce
  • Deliver on your corporate social responsibilities

Nurture and develop future employees

The Careerwise placement team covers all of Scotland, and will work with you to connect you with women who are studying science, technology, engineering and maths at Scottish universities.

Employers have already benefitted from this service since the initiative was launched in 2014.

“It’s been a pleasure to watch our two interns grow professionally and we are delighted one of them has accepted our permanent job offer as our new Applications Engineer.”
Karen Jackson, UK Resourcing Manager, National Oilwell Varco
“As an employer in the technology environment it is very difficult to find female employees with the relevant skills. I am keen to get students coming in on an annual basis as it improves our presence within Universities and gives us a better brand image so hopefully it is easier to recruit graduates.”
Chris Ellis, Chief Technology Officer, Computer Application Services
