In 2007, there were 349,000 individuals working in a managerial role in Scotland and managerial occupations are set to increase by 57.4% creating 20,000 new job opening by 2017. The Management Modern Apprenticeships have been designed to provide qualifications which meet the current and future needs of employers across the sector.
The Management Modern Apprenticeship is offered at 3 levels:
- Level 3 (SCQF 6/7)
- Level 4 (SCQF 8/9)
- Level 5 (SCQF 11).
There are no set entry requirements for this Framework, although employers may wish to contact SkillsCfA for more information.

- SVQ Level 3 (SCQF 6/7) - senior supervisor, section head, developer or manager
- SVQ Level 4 (SCQF 8/9) - departmental head, senior developer or manager
- SVQ Level 5 (SCQF 11) - director, general manager or executive manager.
